Happy Sunday!

Good Morning!
Thought I would pop back in and show a few of the latest cross stitch projects, that I have been working on...

This is "Patriotic Patchwork", by Stone Street Stitchworks on Etsy...
My hubby actually picked this pattern out and asked me to stitch it for our patriotic wall.
(We have plans of turning a wall in our living room, into a patriotic wall, featuring lots of different cross stitch pieces and a few other cool things we have collected.  I was inspired by Vonna (The Twisted Stitcher) and her amazing patriotic themed room.)

"Love Never Fails", by Barbara Anna Designs...
...absolutely adore stitching this piece, the colors are so pretty and it is a lot of fun to see it come together, as I stitch.

And, a finish...
...variegated Dandelion, by Fuzzy Fox Designs on Etsy...
I love that Rachel has been designing lots of patterns using variegated threads.  I have a nice collection of them, but I never know what to stitch with those flosses.  It is really great to have patterns that are made to use them.

So, that is a small peek at some of the most recent projects I have been working on...
...hope everyone is doing terrific and getting lots of stitchy time!

Punch Needle Embroidery

Good Morning everyone!
I hope everybody is doing well and finding lots of time for crafting in the year.

I thought I would pop in real quick (and I hope to post more on my blog in the new year) and share one of my newest interests...punch needle embroidery.
I received a small kit for my birthday and have been absolutely hooked ever since...
I certainly have A LOT to learn, but I am having a ton of fun with each new project.

Here are a few pictures of pieces that I have been working on...
The first project I completed. (This was the kit that I received for my birthday and you can find it Myrtle Grace Motifs.)

Next, I punched this cute Christmas tree, that I found in one of my past Cross Stitch and Needlework magazine.  I had tons of problems with this design and discovered that one of my punch needles had a burr in it, so my thread kept breaking.

And, the most recent piece that I have finished, it is from the winter 2015 issue of Punch Needle and Primitive Stitcher magazine.  I changed it a bit, there was supposed to be text (BELIEVE) in the red the box, but I didn't like how it looked; so, I replaced it with some buttons.  I think it still turned out pretty cute.

So, that is the newest thing that I have been up to...

Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

October Smalls Check In...

Happy Friday!

Yesterday was check-in day for the Smalls Stitch Along...
(not too bad, only one day late)

The Smalls SAL is run by Heather at Stitching Lotus and you can find out more about the stitch along here:

Here is my October Small..
Fully finished witchy bell pull, complete with burnt edges...
(The pattern is called Miss Grimilde and it is by The Primitive Hare on Etsy.)

Love how this one came out and I am really enjoying trying to come up with interesting and unique ways to finish my pieces.

----
A quick look at some other pieces that I have been stitching on lately...

Witch House, by Barbara Ana Designs
Really hoping to have this one completed by this weekend, so I can fully finish it and display it for a few days, before Halloween is over...

Autumn, by thequeenbeehandmade on Etsy
Hoping to have this one finished soon, too, but there is still a fair amount of stitching left...
...so, I will try my best.

Mini Midnight Manor, by Waxing Moon Designs on Etsy

I have also started dying my own floss (I used some of my hand dyed floss in Autumn and all the floss in Mini Midnight Manor is mine)...

It's addicting!

Well, that is a bit of what I've been up to...
hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!
Happy Stitching!

September Smalls Update

Only 1 day late, not too bad!
(Plus, yesterday was my Birthday, so I think that should give me a free pass on being a little behind...LOL!)

The SMALLS stitch along is being run by Heather, at Stitching Lotus and you can find out more about the stitch along here: http://stitchinglotus.ca/2017-sal/

So, my small finish for this month...
"Witch with the Frog Hat"
(at least, that is what I call her)
From the Halloween 2017 issue of Just Cross Stitch magazine

Definitely one of my favorite finishes!

Well, I am off to take the puppy for a quick walk...
...I hope to be back soon with a more in-depth update of what I have been stitching.
Hope everyone has a happy Saturday!

Needleminder Exchange

Mii Stitch put together an awesome needleminder/cross stitch/floss exchange and it is now time to show what we received...

It is absolutely adorable!  I love everything that Ingrid (Mii Stitch) made and sent!
Thank you so much!

Of course, I forgot to snap a photo of what I made, but if you visit Justine's Blog, you can see it all.

It was a really fun exchange and I hope Ingrid will run one again in the future.
