Boy, am I behind...

Well, what can I say...
...I am behind on posting updates!
Work has been pretty busy these last few weeks and I haven't had much spare time, so I'm afraid I fell way behind in posting...
(I'm definitely going to have to try harder, to keep the blog up to date in the future!)

So, I am late with my TUSAL update #3...
but, I do have one to share!

Here is a look at my jar...

A few close-ups of all the ORTs...

Lots of pretty thread!

...

Gifted Gorgeousness, update #2...
(Definitely way behind on this one!)

For this update, I concentrated on the woodland sampler piece...
...I decided to change the fabric on this piece, so I had to put in lots of work, to get caught up.

This is a picture of the 2 different fabrics...
...the darker one (the one on top) is the original one I started with and the lighter one (the one on the bottom) is the one I switched to.
I really like the new fabric!  The color is a dark beige and it has darker brown swirls in it, which I really like.
(I'm planning to finish both pieces (probably not at the same time), since I know of someone else that would really like the finished piece.)

Anyway, here is a close-up of my progress on the piece...
I think it is coming together nicely!

...
March IHSW Update...
I did participate in the March IHSW, but just didn't get a chance to post...
(Honestly, I didn't get to stitch as much as I wanted.)

I decided to work on the Star Wars sampler...

The Boba Fett character is finished and I started on the Luke character...
...not a ton of progress, but at least there is some!

....

So, what have I been busy with...
well, I've made a couple new painted mason jars sets...

(This is my favorite new set!  I just love how it turned out.)

I've also been busy with orders...
...which is great, since it is my son's birthday this weekend and extra money is always welcome around present time!

So, my stitching time has been limited, but I am hoping to get back into stitching more soon!
(My orders are almost finished.)

Well, I hope everyone is has a great weekend and a great start to spring!

Turtle Trot, Update #3...

Time for another Turtle Trot update...
...and, I actually have some progress to share!

Up first, the Disney princess castle...
(Where I left off...)

And now...
The castle is done!
(Well, I have a few flags to add, but the major part of the castle is done.)
And, one princess is starting to make an appearance.

Next, the Sugar is Sweet sampler...
(Where I left off...)

And now...
We have sweets!

Lastly, I started the Woodland sampler...
(Here is what the piece will look like...)

And my start...
Not a lot of progress, but some...
(I am actually debating restarting on a different type of Aida cloth, but I'm not sure....
We'll see how busy my weekend ends up.)

So, that is all for now...
Hope everyone is having a great day!

First "Caturday" of March...

Happy Weekend everyone!  I hope everybody is having a good one!

I still can't believe that it is the first weekend of March...
...boy, this year is flying by!

Since it is Saturday, it is time for some kitty pictures!

A decent pictures of Ziva...
and, no litter boxes in the background!

Last week, we bought the cats a new cardboard scratch-er, that can be filled with catnip...
of course, they all loved it, but Hoss and Cooper loved it just a tad more!

Hoss just loves to lounge around on it!

Of course, he has also been caught licking the remaining catnip!

He is quite the cat, when it comes to catnip!
(If you look at the first picture of Hoss, you'll notice a catnip mouse on the floor...
wanna guess where the mouse is in this picture?!?!)

Cooper loves having something he can scratch and not get yelled at for doing so...
(He loves the butterfly on top, too!  The poor thing has completely deformed antennae now, thanks to Cooper.)

 Cooper is quite the kitty!
You never know what he'll find to get into!

Oh, I almost forgot to share some exciting news...
I finally purchased my domain name for my website!
Now, all you have to type in is www.carriescuriosities.com and viola, my webpage comes up!
(It was something I've been meaning to do for a long time, but never got around to it.)

Well, I am off to paint some more jars and get a jump on laundry!
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

WIPocalypse Update #3...

Happy March everyone!

I apologize for disappearing, but the end of February and beginning of March have been absolutely crazy!
Work has had me hopping (and painting) and I've been busy helping my son with his science fair project. (Honestly, I never thought it would take up so much time, but it did.)

Well, the science fair project is done!

And, I am almost caught up on orders...
...of course, the minute I think I'm caught up, more come in! (But, I am not complaining!)

So, I haven't had a lot of extra time to stitch...
And, when I sat down and started to think about my WIPocalypse projects, I realized, I only have one, new picture to share...

I was able to put in some work on the "Enjoy God's Work" kit (which is going to be a gift)...
(Here is where I left off last time.)

And, where I am now...
Not a lot to show, but it is progress!

Honestly, I haven't stitched much the last few days, just too tired...
But, my fingers are itching to get back to work, so hopefully, I'll have more to show when it comes to my Turtle Trot update! (Fingers Crossed!)

Well, it is time for me to get back to painting...
...hope everyone is having a great start to the new month!

I almost forgot, the topic for this month...
"If money – and time – were not limiters, what projects would be on your stitching bucket list?"
I would love to stitch the 2015 Story Time Sampler and 2014 Once Upon a Time Sampler (both by The Frost Pumpkin Stitchery).  I have admired these pieces for quite some time and I adore the pictures I've seen of other stitchers' progress on them...
Hopefully one day I will be able to work on (and complete) them!
